We got engaged yesterday!

and here is the ring that he used (not the real one, it's on order).

We had a birthday BBQ for B's 50th Birthday, and at cake time he got everyone gathered outside and started to thank them all for coming, then proceeded to get down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes.

Turns out he had asked my dad last week, and H the day before (which i'm impressed and scared that she was able to keep it from me) and they both gave their blessing, so it's a good thing I accepted.
