Keeping watch

There seems to be quite a lot of ladder-action in Linton at the moment, but this sight made me stop and smile.

The little spaniel has sat on that step on the High Street all day, doing what...guarding the ladders or just waiting patiently for his owner/s to descend?

I did have a brief chat with the guys who smiled for the camera, but I preferred this one when they all hadn't noticed me yet.
