Jillian's Journal

Green, green, it's green Horomaka says . . . . .

. . . . for today's Green Rainbow Challenge.

Althaea officinalis (marshmallow, marsh mallow, or common marshmallow) is a species indigenous to Africa, which is used as a medicinal plant and ornamental plant. A confection made from the root since ancient Egyptian time evolved into today's marshmallow treat Thanks Wikipedia.

I was determined to blip something other than a growing plant today, but the green flash didn't happen at sunrise, I couldn't get into town to photograph a green stained glass window, couldn't find a four-leaf clover and unlike Jamazen I don't have much in the way of green coloured household cleaners. So, it's a marshmallow flower for my offering for 'green' day.

Thank you Ambling Camera for Square September, and
Horomaka for the Rainbow Challenge.

Anyone excited by Team NZ's win this morning? Phew, it's nail-biting stuff.

Thanks everyone for the amazing response to yesterday's Yellow Kowhai flower, for the hearts, stars and comment. Much to my amazement it's still there in Spotlight.
