Thinking About Fish

I watched the local fisherman bringing in his catch, a fish box of large prawns, a box of monkfish and this box of dog fish. He informed me that there are very few fish out there and I have heard this story all summer. I thought the dog fish were dead but not so they were writhing around and dying very slowly and I wondered about their experience of dying. I do eat fish and I pondered on the depleted fish stocks locally and globally and the potential contamination of entire food chain in the pacific ocean due to the continued out pouring of radioactive waste from the Nuclear power station at Fukushima, it was a very thoughtful sort of lunch break!
