Whatsapp in Space

I am of a generation that, as soon as you left the pilot station in Rotterdam, it took weeks before the shore party received any news of the whereabouts of the vessel. It is hard to believe therefore, that while having breakfast at the middle of the atlantic ocean, someones ringtone is calling because there is a new whatsapp message. Can you believe it? Here you see the one who makes this all happen and possible, not second mate Rieuwert on the right but the awful big dome on the left. We started with our first dome 10-15 years ago with a diameter of 1 foot. Our present dome is 8 feet i guess?
