Prince Henry Walk

There have been designated walking tracks in the Blue Mountains since the 1860s but the Prince Henry Walk was officially named and gazetted in the early 1930s. I have mentioned it before. It offers a three and a half hour stroll (in all) from East Leura to West Katoomba along the upper part of the escarpment, offering an astonishing variety of scenery and topographical features. This morning my friend Gini (who accompanied me for part of the Sydney stroll, a while back) joined me for a bit of exercise and a few photographs. We can see a couple of safety fenced vantage points along the way. Just over this railing is one frightful and very sudden drop ... straight down.
