Dry and wet feet!

Our club walk today took us down to the hills near Biggar, Lanarkshire, small hills of around 1500 ft. We walked for about 7 miles, up Whiteside Hill, then contoured along the side of the hill toward Green Knowe, and on to Fingland, which was a sherpherd's cottage in the distant past. We have been told it is now used to give holidays to handicapped people, but it was empty when we had our lunch outside it.

It was not a cold day, quite clammy, we got some sunshine but very little, but no rain, so that is a bonus.

Had a break in Biggar for drinks before heading home. Great day out!
