Cat in the Woods

As I was walking through the woods this morning I saw something rustle in my peripheral vision, and was surprised to see this beautiful cat settled on a tree trunk. I must admit I am not a cat lover, but I was captivated by his beautiful eyes and the perfect setting he chose to relax in. That's about as wild as it gets here in Portland, and quite a change from what I was photographing two weeks ago!! Today I am grateful for green Oregon. The rains lately have really brightened the landscape after a long hot summer!
