Here's looking at you

This shield bug was hanging out on a pillar at the church where we meet for the Wednesday walk. I think s/he is Coreus marginatus. You can see s/ he has a couple of tiny horns. Apparently likes to eat blackberries, so that figures, though there was nothing at all to eat in this particular location. Also known as squash bugs because in North America they are pests of squashes.

I did the walk and am feeling more like a human being again. OB is promising a toasted sandwich for lunch so things are going from good to better!
