Sketching at the zoo

More zoo today as school was let out 2 hours early so we picked up the grandsons and thought we’d take advantage of the early time (1:00) to see some of the zoo babies which are generally in their cozy nests later in the afternoon when we can get there. We particularly went for the jaguar pups and the asian small clawed otters. Success with both! Brought sketch pads and sketched. The blip intrigued me because of the odd reflection of Nik and the faces of the 3 jaguar pups born March 22 to Olivia (whose rump you can see,= they are her first litter) Was also great to catch the little otters born June 11 playing... (4 boys born to imported parents who must have decided right away they were compatible...) And of course we have to watch those lowland gorillas....
I’ve put a few of these for family on flickr.......
Square just didn't work today.....

And I missed the america's cup race because of it - just as well - it was heartbreaking! It's just not a sailor's race anymore. Really really sorry NZ didn't get it!
