Singing Sands - Kentra Bay

A beautiful part of Scotland and spectacular weather on the day. We set off on what was to be a 3.5 hour round trip with our 3 year old and 5 year old in tow. Perhaps a bit ambitious, however my son walked the whole way, stopping every five minutes to eat, explore webs and investigate sticks while my daughter sat happily of the shoulders of her father. It took us 2.5 hour just to get to the bay, which was a fabulous walk and worth the journey. The sands weren't signing that day but the blue skies and greeny/blue waters were spectacular - and fortunately we were generously offered lift back along the track - in a Landrover defender. What a day - followed by a storm, 40mph winds and tumultuous rain that drowned our tent in the middle of the night but somehow the weekend wound up to be a beautiful adventure.
