Monday 30 September 2013: Inside Sky

Back to work, not very exciting.

Today's blip is a quick shot at the remains of the Sky+ box I dismantled to get the hard disk out of. It's not the best close-up but it still shows the complexity of the device, there are a lot of discrete components on the board, in many respect more than you'd expect on a typical computer of the same age - even though they are essentially the same thing.

Anyhow for the irony, this picture was processed and is now stored on the hard disk that once resided inside this beast.
