Rust

This stanchion no longer is forced to support any kind of restraint, so it remains as a testament to the power of the elements here in the tropics. No special storm this time, just good old fashioned salt spray, sun, and time. I am continually fascinated by the effect these three elements have on metal of every kind here next to the ocean. Interesting to photograph, just glad I don't have to worry about any maintenance.
