Swinging

What a brilliant day, and a day to that E and I were so proud of our children.

We set off soon after breakfast and drove up to Banchory, getting there around lunchtime. After getting changed we popped up to see a friend from University whom I have not seen for 8years. It was a very brief visit but nice all the same.

Headed to the wedding, and got there in plenty of time. Met up with some friends and managed a quick handshake with the groom. It was so nice to see him. The bride arrived on time but someone had forgotten some flowers so they had to be retrieved. Then it all got started. It was a lovely wedding, in a marquee looking down to the River Dee, with some very mellow classical music and a song from our friend Tommy.

The girls sat very well through the service and then afterwards got to play in the park in the hotel grounds. Dinner also was brilliant and again the sat so patiently through the speaches and ate their dinner so well. They were just a pleasure to have there. And it was commented upon a number of times.

The mingling afterwards was a great time to catch up with friends. And the dancing was a traditional North East affair, starting with the grand march and then loads of scottish celiedh dancing. I love dancing with the girls and the smiles on their faces is just a lovely picture. They did so well but started flagging at 11pm which considering they usually go to bed at 7.30 was a bit of a wonder.

A Top Day..!!
