Silk

I have waited a long time to start spinning this and tonight - I indulged! It is 60% Blue Faced Leicester wool and 40% Tussah silk! It is so incredible soft and shiny and very slick in between my fingers on the wheel. I am in love with the colors. Ironically it was not until after I bought it that I saw what the dyer had named it - Weeping Angel. Ha!! (Doctor Who reference for those not in the Who)

The ply mate I found for it is equally as awesome and I will post the finished skein. This one - if it all comes out well will be for me - finally - a shawl I think.
