Chipmunk Morning

silky striped sentry,
consider your morning
awash with sparkling
orbs illuminating
spiked verdant blades
surrounding, concealing
your spiraling burrow
it's safety in darkness below

This day came in bright and sunny, a gorgeous day to be in New England .

I went to the library after a Garden Club Board meeting to check on my paintings. Some of the clips on the brass molding hangers are tired and slip a bit, but with a few adjustments all seems to be hanging as we left them last night. I feel relieved that part of the show is set, now the archive displays and G's performance tune ups. It's exciting and it's important to pay homage to the person who opened my eyes to really see.
