Show me the Money!

More from the Scottish Archives I was blipping from yesterday. Really a picture of a picture - and exactly as it says on the strap line, Lloyd's Scottish Banknotes from pretty much 1770 onwards. How many Scottish banks used to issue their own notes? I'm rather sad that it has now been whittled down to only three although I daresay the days when upwards of six banks were doing so may have been a tad confusing for foreign visitors :-)
