Lost Shoe

For many years now I've been taking pictures of lost shoes, a single shoe on its own, lost with it's own story.
Living in Bakewell you don't see so many, but Manchester is always good for a shoe and the usual debris that surrounds it.
And as in this picture they don't leave much to the imagination on how they got there! Or do they?
This one is quite new and I particulary like the missing laces.
It was good to get out of the house having been couped up recovering for all week and cities are always good for a bit of rejuvenation, well for me anyway.
Manchester is buzzing with cranes and building work going on everywhere. It's a good pointer of how successful a place is and it's always good to see.
It certainly puts into perspective the ongoing resurfacing project that is about to happen in Matlock street, it's been on the cards for ages and is (hopefully) about to start.
Oh and I almost forgot there's work going on in sprucing up the cricket pavilion.
