Thursday 31 May 2007: Fuzzy Orange
Was at a techie conference in Edinburgh today, at which one of the sponsors gave everyone one of these.
On one level I was disgusted at the waste of money and materials to produce such a thing. Then I was mystified as to why they thought that might make me use their services (although the name will probably stick). I then spent the rest of the day trying to figure out which small child I could give it to.
(Someone else pulled the 'Try Me' tab on theirs. It sings 'I should be so lucky' and dances around in a scary fashion).
It was quite a good conference though - reasonable prices and some interesting sessions, although as usual some of the presenters couldn't resist the temptation of geek overload.
