A little light relief

Mrs Rex was in Edinburgh today so we met up for something to eat after work and ended up in the Balmoral for a bar meal. After paying the bill I naturally wanted to check that my bank hadn't collapsed due to my withdrawal of the funds required to settle up.

As you can see it's still standing. It used to be the Bank of Scotland headquarters, but after a merger with the Halifax it is now the HBOS headquarters, but it is really owned by the Lloyds Banking Group since it's bail out by them in 2009 during the banking crisis.

The building you see here was designed by David Bryce and completed in 1878 and has largely remained unchanged since. In the background you can see the crown steeple of St Giles' Cathedral which dates from the late 15th century.

What I want to know is who pays the electricity bill?
