This week’s class focus is on the sense of wonder - defined as a feeling of surprise mingled with admiration, caused by something beautiful, unexpected, unfamiliar, or inexplicable.

John Szarkowski describes wonder in “Looking at Photographs” as:
“A sense of the sweetness of life, a free and childlike pleasure in the beauty of
the world and the preciousness of sight.”

This week’s assignment - to look at the world as if “through the eyes of a child”
