Acer palmatum

Today began with grey mist that became drizzle , which in turn became heavy rain. Dodged the worst of it to have coffee with a friend in the morning, then braced ourselves for a visit to Ikea to choose new wardrobes for daughter#1's bedroom refurb. Thank goodness that these days you can get them to pick and deliver these larger items rather than having to struggle round with enormous flatpacks on an uncontrollable trolley!
We emerged mid afternoon to an almost clear blue sky. Back at home this little acer on our patio, refreshed by all that rain, was showing off its Autumn colours. Some of my shots were sharper, but the rainbow of colour in this appealed.
