Damp but optimistic

I think everywhere is damp this morning but at least it wasn't actually raining during the morning's walk. I took a slightly different route today and was delighted to see some snippets of purply pink colour amongst the oranges and lemons of the autumn foliage. This little flower is ready to burst forth - frost permitting - and I really admired its tenacity and warmth.
