Getting Along

There are flocks and flocks of pelicans, hundreds of birds, flying low over the rocks and diving in that prehistoric plunge that is so distinctive. There are equally large numbers of gulls, and a good dose of cormorants. My photos of the masses just don't convey the majesty of these creatures, nor my delight in seeing so many at once, amazed as formation after formation passes overhead. I wish you could all stand here and listen to the sounds of the water and the birds, the splashing and complaining and general vocalizing against the crashes of the waves. In the meantime, I love these guys with their hairdos.
