Slug Watch

A miserable and rainy day. Went to pilates and then pottered around.
Took son number one to the station to catch his train back to Sheffield and then did a big Tesco shop. Haven't been there for ages so had to work out where everything was again. I now remember why I usually do an internet shop but at least we have food and even fresh veg in the house again.

There's a citizen science project to track a new species of slug, the Spanish slug (Arion vulgaris) so I've been looking a bit closer at our garden slugs. This spotty one is a yellow slug (I think) and it was wandering around outside the back door after dark. Apparently the tentacles are blue.

The Slug Watch site has top trumps for slugs and a guide to identifying the various slimy creatures in your vegetable patch and garden.
