Ludgershall

Ludgershall lies at the edge of Wiltshire, on the Hampshire border. It includes these flinty ruins, the remains of a 12th-century fortified royal residence known as Ludgershall Castle. It had been turned into a hunting lodge by Henry III but was disused by the 15th century.
