Lurking in the Dark

Half an hour hanging around here in the school's car park tonight. Euan at a rugby tournament and I was meant to be picking him up but he decided to get dropped off as the bus passed the end of the street instead. So I'm left lurking around the school in the dark taking pictures of the empty car park like some deviant as the CCTV camera watches on.

Got darker here just after this though, with a power cut taking out a big chunk of the town, including all these twinkly lights. Just got home and had to head back out and rescue the mother-in-law whose electric recliner had her trapped on the sofa in the pitch black and she couldn't move off of it. Poor auld biddy was more concerned that her cowboy movie recording on the Sky box wouldn't be there when the power came back on and it would've mucked up her series link to Quincy M.E.

It's frightening how really, really dark it is when there's no artificial light out on the streets at all. Mobile phone came in handy for something other than checking twitter & facebook, texting & taking photos (and the odd phone call too maybe if you're a bit weird that way) as I lurked about in the dark some more.
