Knotty Ash?

..No. It's a Yew!!

Took the car to Inverness today to get the ABS brake problem sorted. The light has been coming on for the last couple of months, but hey, the brakes were still working. And it got through the mot test OK with the problem..

Anyway, it was a split something or other, that was 125 ish to replace. Then it was discs and pads on the back, that was 130 ish. Add two tyres, and I did get some change from £450. Anyway, while the car was in, G went shopping, and I took Tanni for a walk up the Ness. Got up to the Ness Islands, where they were busy creating a haunted ride for Haloween.

Had several shots to choose from, one of a woodland glade, with strong vertical trunks, and dappled sunlight on autumn leaves. Another of a stream with "milky" water from a longer exposure, but chose this lovely trunk of a yew tree. Lighting could have been better, but there could be several hundred years of growth here..

I met up with G again back in town, and we did the walk again, but in reverse. I managed to get into a second hand bookshop for half an hour (not Leakeys, thats too expensive), the Blythswood shop at the bottom of Academy Street, much cheaper..

Just back after stopping in Ullapool for some crab claws, and shopping put away. OK, I'm a little after midnight, so this is technically a "backblip"..

Enjoy..
