Sunday 3 June 2007: Toddler Burnout
Sometimes, it's hard to be a toddler. Loads of things to investigate, brothers to bother, and a lot of shouting and running about to be done. It's no wonder he feels the need to wake up so early in the morning.
Plus, there are so many words to remember. For instance, he's Dod'n, I'm dad'n and Mo is mama. However, ees a dad'n and ees a mama could be any man or woman he meets. He's got two Caaats that need pointing at on a regular basis, as well as a dog'n whose patience he likes to try.
Then there are the social niceties: darey'are, sumawah and ta to be used as appropriate. Plus there's all that dyooose to be drunk, and foons to be spoken into. It's no wonder the pressure gets to him sometimes.
