Crazy ice-creams!

We were all feeling a little rough this morning. My alarm went off at 6.30 and Morag woke up and stole my phone from me!! When I saw her wake up I asked for my phone back and she said she didn't have it. So told her to look around her. It was funny as she had no recollection of it at all! We all got up rather late in the end and we decided to go on a wander around the city. We watched a dance show going on. Some of them were really cool but some were pretty awful. It was good fun to watch! We then went to get a drink at a local place. The Chinese lady was very funny and she would skip away after we asked her something! After this place we then went back to our rooms before heading to the night market. On our way there we got huge tall skinny ice creams. They were like the ones we had in Poland but bigger. We all felt slightly ridiculous walking around with these huge ice creams! They just tasted of water as well so the next bin we came across we tried to throw the ice cream into bin. I failed miserably and it splattered on the ground and went all over our legs! The cone was a disappointment too so that had to go in the bin! We tried some other local food too but have no idea what it was called. We went to the night market where we were excepting to find lots of reptiles and snakes as we had been told but sadly not!! Walked down snake alley saw a couple of huge snakes but not as many as we were hoping to see. Masses of strange fish on stands. We ate at a place along there were they cooked it right in front of you whilst you sat there. It was quite fun. In a different market nearby there were masses of funny games you could play that looked like they were for 5 year olds but it appears not!! We all played darts and had to pop the water balloons. It was very funny! There was also masses of porn and it was so weird watching the old men browse through it. Lots of strange food that I'm not sure I would like to try. There was one place where you had to try and hook your own shrimp and then you fried it alive. It was a very strange process to watch! After the market we all headed to the temple nearby. It was really cool. Everyone was praying and doing the offering when we went. The songs the sang sounded a lot nicer than the ones we have heard in other countries!! We watched them all burn these sticks which they then put into the fire. After the temple we found a funny guy dancing with a tambourin. It was very entertaining!! We walked all the way back instead of taking the MRT. Jack said he knew where we were going but we then got lost. My feet were killing me from the blisters and I just wanted to be back. Eventually realised where we were. Jack clearly didn't want to go back as he wanted to keep wandering around. So we managed to get the message across that we wanted to head back to our room. We said our goodbyes to Jack before hitting the pillow in our new room!
