'n Kiekie 'n Dag

This has to be the blip.

My guardian angel was on duty this morning. We missed a falling branch by an 8th of a polony skin on our way to work. The side branches hit the bonnet, but the main branch just missed. There may be a few scratches on the car - I haven't really looked. We then went home & had a cup of tea, tried again at 9:30 & arrived in town at 11:30 - a journey that can be only 10 minutes on a good day, but 20'ish in rush hour. It was better than poor J who only got to work at 13:15 and whose bus service was cancelled during the afternoon.

The main reasons for the trafic dealy was he closure of the Orwell Bridge, so all traffic to & from the east & north east had to go through town, and the closure of one half of the one way system due to cladding coming off a posh building on the Waterfront and off course trees in the road.

Thank goodness we cut the big tree near the house down during summer. The tree in the blip is to the back. The photo was taken through a dirty window - there was no way I was opening an upstairs window in that wind. Fortunately it missed the sheds. I haven't looked this evening (it's dark), but the wind died down during the morning, so I assume nothing more happened after I left this morning.
