Double delight

Today I baked "pulla", a traditional Finnish cardamom flavored coffee bread. This I learned as a little girl, a skill greatly appreciated by my family; appreciated by my mouth, too, but not my ...umm..shape. Hence I've scaled the baking down to holidays and special celebrations. This weekend we will celebrate our son's Birthday, so I baked. Then, a small package from my sister arrived with newspapers from my home village. She subscribes to it, then sends them to me weeks later in a bundle. What a joy! I had to eat many pullas to celebrate!
