Cardiff station

Once, waiting here for a midnight train, I heard a bunch of late night travellers break into song and then the whole platformful picked it up and launched into an impromptu sequence of old favourites. It was unforgettable.

This afternoon there were only gulls exercising their vocal cords over some cast-off sandwich wrappers.
