Tree Tunnel

A short run at lunchtime saw me taking a footpath I had not previously travelled before. This goes along the side of the Manuel Burn.

In its turn, the Manuel burn becomes a tributary of the River Avon. That confluence is near the site of the Battle Of Linlithgow Bridge, and the ford of the Manuel near the Avon was a significant factor in the battle.

I don't know what the footpath is, though. It almost looks as if it could be a disused railway line. But I did like the tree tunnel as I went through it.
