The Manchester Ship Canal

Journeyed over to Echo's house last night to be ready for our cruise along the Manchester Ship Canal , which started from the Pier Head at 10 a.m. Our ferry was the 'Royal Iris' and we were soon on our way along with over 300 + other passengers and we followed another ferry called 'The Snowdrop' - equally as full. It was a fascinating six and a half hour trip from Liverpool to Salford Quays, passing so many interesting places 'en route' - too numerous to mention. I loved going under the Runcorn bridge ( instead of driving across it!), enjoyed the locks experience and saw so much wildlife.
This was a truly exciting experience - highly recommended.
