Leaf Soup

I was outside the house in a light rain, cordoning off our landscaping from the rampaging sugar-crazed hordes that will be pillaging the neighborhood this evening, when I noticed the bright saturated colors of these leaves and the birdbath.

We love our birdbath, but we’d love it even more if the birds would use it occasionally. They must prefer the year-round storm water pond behind us.
