Night's Candles Are Not Burnt Out

The last day of October came in rainy and wet.

I rode the bus in darkness; walked down through campus just before dawn in the early morning rain.

Lights from the buildings and the street lamps shone golden on wet leaves, reflected golden on wet sidewalks.

Every pathway, wet and golden beneath my dancing feet.

The soundtrack is a favorite song, and I'm including two versions that I love. In the Early Morning Rain, first the original by Peter, Paul, and Mary. Second, the wonderful cover by Gordon Lightfoot. Enjoy!

P.S. You may also enjoy seeing a very similar shot of the same area in springtime. :-)
