Westward from Uley Hill Fort

My original plan was to head for the Brecon Beacons today, but then I saw the forecast for South Wales! The outlook was better for the Cotswolds so I headed for Uley where there is a super walk, up and round the Iron Age Hill Fort, through woodlands on route and magnificent views at the top over to the Severn Valley and the Forest of Dean beyond.

I was quite smug watching the rain fall over the Welsh Hills in the distance. It eventually caught up but I was in the car on the way home by then.

A lovely day out if ever you're this way.
