Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

Stormy Saturday

As predicted, the rain came and the wind blew! The blip is out the front window of the cabin which face NW, getting streams of water and bouncing branches. We thought we might need hard hats to go outside, but it did abate a little later on so after a cozy fire, another chapter of our books, another cup of coffee, and the start of a soup pot, we went for a beautiful wet walk. But only with my tiny sony camera. This afternoon I was very happy to work in the studio with the Sat Opera (Verdi’s Louisa Miller) on the radio drowning out the dreaded wind outside, which picked up again. (I don't like wind!) The Gulf Island/Vancouver ferry came close to running aground in the high winds this morning so was towed to its homebase and there is no service for now (while they assess if there is damage!) Thank goodness we don’t need to go anywhere! Maybe a sauna, soup and a soap-opera(movie- actually Homeland:-) ) (Dare I say we still have power….)..)

Have a flickr set started for November at the Island, for the record, , starting with calm yesterday...
