Monday 7 September 2009: Night time soon
Running late, I was looking for something to blip. The sun had gone down and nothing feasible seemed to appear out of nowhere.
Straight ahead the approaching dusk skies loomed and winked.
Johann and his biker friends early this morning took the road home from East London in the Eastern Cape, back to to George. They had been attending the Sunshine Bikers' Rally in Port Alfred, and afterwards decided to spend a day (yesterday) in East London.
On their way back, he called to say that the back wheel of his bike was losing air, most probably at the valve. Problem was that it was after five, they were not close to any town or place that would be able to help.
But men will be boys and will love all the adventure and action that go with it.
It is now almost seven, the sun has gone and it is turning chilly.
Although we are well away into our spring, snow has been predicted for the mountains in the area and there is a change in the weather pattern.
So it is every year - nothing new.
