Wine,Women & Song

A little vino, and more...

Stopped in tonight at Vinostrology, a hip new wine bar in downtown Bellingham in the old Bandito Burrito space. Vinostrology's got a clean, contemporary style coupled with warm lighting and a cozy floorplan, and a very cool wine dispenser called the "Wine Station". As explained to me by the bartender, the Wine Station pumps argon gas through the bottles of wine which displaces all oxygen. By doing this, they are able to keep an open bottle of wine fresh for up to 60 days!

However, the main draw tonight for me was the lovely and talented Hadassah McGill (pictured above) singing several sets of jazzy, bossa nova-ish numbers in her beautiful, smooth-as-a-pearl style. We are so, so lucky to have this rising star musician as accompanist for Allegra Women's Ensemble! If you're interested in hearing Hadassah on keyboard, along with Allegra, we're all performing next Saturday in Blaine at the Backstage at the Border Coffeehouse. Get yourself up there, if you can!
