Billy Collins

Our local independent bookstore brought him to town to read from his new book, Aimless Love. I knew I was in for a treat, but I didn't expect to smile and laugh so hard that my face hurt, nor did I anticipate the quick little stabs to the heart. It is such a gift to hear poetry read by its author, and Billy Collins is charming and funny and thoughtful and true. What an amazing thing to see a sold out house for a poetry reading, eager fans lined up at the door, clutching their copies of the book.

Oh, and when he signed my book, he said he liked my glasses...
