Workfree

We sat down last night and contemplated what to do with this blissful workfree weekend.

We considered going away for the night tonight. One hotel we've been to before that we phoned was full. Good on them on a Saturday night in mid November. The other place simply didn't answer their phone all evening, which we found frankly extraordinary. So in the end, we decided to go for some much needed retail therapy. We've just spent a phenomenal amount of money in John Lewis on some items long needed to smarten the flat up (nothing to show for now - this is the sort of thing you have to wait for...) followed by an excellent lunch including roasted Skye langoustines in the Ship on the Shore. We're now drinking white wine in the afternoon and watching Scotland really struggle with Japan who are playing some really lively rugby.

A lazy afternoon and evening beckon.
