Big Dipper (Back blip 6)

Last night, the gale force winds were ferocious. Neither of us vocalised it but both admitted to pondering whether, at 2.30am, we should drive to a more sheltered location. I wouldn't have been surprised if the van had crept a few metres on its own overnight. We were just pleased not to be on our side!

Today, we reached our most northerly spot at a place called Kylesku. We watched seals for a while, popping their heads up for a few moments at a time & wondering why it was as wet above water as below. The mountains, at times, looked evil.

Now in Aviemore, we are camped near Loch Morlich where we have just taken the dog for a run on the beach & a play in the woods. Rich spotted a dipper which we watched for a while. It was bobbing in and out of the lake (a place we've never seen dippers) picking up grubs from the lake bed. The light was fading fast so if I choose the dipper over the wild weather of this morning as my Blip, the ISO was set high to keep the shutter speed vaguely fast enough, but I liked the reflection so it's staying!
