Border crossing

To get to Cavan from Belfast for a family event I drove along the A3. The road passes in and out of Northern Ireland a few times. Apart from the SatNav alerting me to the fact that I had crossed the border, the only way of knowing was that the road markings changed colour, the street signs changed and the distances switched from miles to kilometers.

But no border crossings points as used to be the case. Yet different Governments, currencies, laws etc.

The countryside was resplendent with sunshine on the beech trees turning colour. But as ever when driving, especially against the clock, the opportunities to take photographs were severely limited.
