Tuesday 5 June 2007: It WILL fit
On the road again; Kevin and the two Caitríonas on a packing mission this morning.
The three of them brought all their "stuff" together, selecting, rejecting, weighing and stuffing. Most choices left clothes behind.
They brought a little clothes, alot of teaching materials and some goodies.
I heard, "what would you need that for" and was shocked at "let the air out of your balls", coming from the Theology graduate, and "make it fit, we need it".
I suggested that they might get away with 22.5 kg, instead of the Aer Lingus max of 20Kg. They were eventually allowed 23Kg each, (so they squeezed in a bit more and were delighted with, "You are doing great work in Malawi" from the check in staff.
There will be many small, and happy Malawian faces in St John of God's school tomorrow after they do the 26 hour journey.
