Red sky in the morning - Shepherds warning

Old saying indicating that bad weather is coming. I am not sure that really holds true, just more to do with the low sun in the autumn and scattered clouds in the sky.

I stood shivering in the doorway to take these shots having decided last night that the conditions did not justify getting up and going out to shoot the dawn ( also called being too lazy to get out of bed in time)

The light in the sky was there only for about ten minutes so lucky to see and capture this shot. For me this is the real beauty of the landscape and the sky - those few minutes of changing light and transient image
