Community Action

Today was Pool Park Action Day. Volunteers from the Blackheath community gathered at the pool park for a cleanup.
It's amazing what a bit of community spirit can achieve.

The original swimming pool was installed in the 1920s by the locals and was traditionally free, until a few years ago when the local council insisted on fencing it and charging for entry. Maybe it's time to make it free again.
