The Red Wheelbarrow

This far corner of the yard isn't visible in the lusher months; now all the bones are exposed. The plum tree has lost most of its leaves, and the persimmon is not far behind. We are still picking the orange fruit, using a long pole pruner because they are so high up and awkward to reach. Trying to get the leaves raked up before the predicted rainstorm--there were actually a lot more on the ground, which are now safely in the compost bin.
