Autumn Stillness

Yet another sunny day for a good walk, after dropping a load at the charity shop, the recycling and some shopping.

In the grounds of Gosford House, the trees still have plenty of leaves of all the hues of the Autumn spectrum reflecting here in the calm water of one of the ponds, with the grotto in the background. Apart from the hundred or so geese (not sure what species), more common waterfowl and squirrels, we spotted a treecreeper, the first for a very long time.

This was not our intended destination but proved most enjoyable. The cold, still day has resolved into a wet and windy night.
